We could not have had a more perfect evening for Elliot & Caleb’s Indiana Dunes engagement session, with wildflowers and the beach. When Elliot said they were going for an American West, cowboy style session I knew we were going to create some magic together. Golden hour was absolutely stunning, and the wildflowers in the woods were in full bloom, with native wild lupines showing off in vivid color. We started off in the woods for good golden hour light, and then for the second half of the session, made our way over to the beach for sunset and blue hour photos.

They popped champagne and toasted while seagulls soared around, and we got the most incredible colors in the sky during sunset with the silhouette of Chicago in the background. These two were such a joy to photograph, laughing and having so much fun together, and had absolutely immaculate style. As blue hour descended, we pulled out the lanterns for a few moody, blue hour shots by the water. We ended the session with some sunset silhouettes and shots with the moon, before wrapping up their Indiana Dunes engagement session. These two were so easy to photograph, and I had so much fun with you two! I could not be more excited for the wedding this fall!
