The leaves were starting to turn from green to gold for Lindsey and Dennis’ Brown County elopement, the rolling hills drenched in sunlight. We met at a stunning A frame cabin called The Edge they rented for their special day, and got a relaxed start into details. Lindsey and Dennis chose to have a first look with each other in their wedding attire for their Brown County elopement, and the A-frame made for perfect, intimate scenery. We then loaded up the cars and headed to Brown County State Park, drinking in the beautiful landscape along the winding roads, and wonderful cool weather.

We started off with a chill lakeside hike, then as the sun dipped lower and lower, we made our way to one of the stunning sunset vista points for a picnic. Overlooking the rolling hills turning gold with the sunset, Lindsey and Dennis shared an exquisite charcuterie picnic (seriously, those chocolate covered strawberries were to die for) and relaxed in patches of sunlight to stay warm.

We spent the last of golden hour running and dancing amongst the trees and gentle hills, before loading up to head back to the A-frame. There, Dennis was able to start the campfire with a single match, to which Dennis laughed and said was the perfect metaphor for their relationship. The air was chilly, but the fire was roaring and warm, and the market lights overhead twinkled as these two laughed together. As the stars crept out, they ended their Brown County elopement with cupcakes and champagne around the fire, and danced around with sparklers, making some pretty awesome long exposure shots.

Lindsey & Dennis, it was such an honor and joy to be a part of your elopement day! It was so amazing to witness and document the beautiful love you have for each other, and I wish you both many, many more days of laughing, hiking, and sharing in joyful experiences together. <3
