The sun hid behind a haze of clouds and the air felt heavy with humidity and excitement when Jake and I pulled into the gorgeous cabins Chloe and Samy rented for their outdoor cabin wedding. We spent some time getting ready with their sweet kids and families and captured all the details, before setting up for the ceremony. The ceremony and reception took place at the lovely Narrows Cabins just outside of Turkey Run State Park, and it was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and private, perfect for their small outdoor cabin wedding. Chloe and Samy exchanged vows and rings, (with Jake officiating!) and sealed their eternal love for each other with a kiss as their kids and parents cheered.

After the ceremony they lit a unity candle, cut a cake, and shared a beautiful first dance with each other and then their children. As Chloe’s dad fired up their pizza oven and started slinging dough, the skies opened up and rain poured down, so we all huddled under the cover of the cabin munching on homemade pizza and cake while laughing and soaking up the smell of fresh rain. As quickly as it came, the rain stopped, leaving a thick mist that clung to trees and the ground. Chloe and Samy signed the marriage license and papers, then helped each other get into hiking shoes before heading to Turkey Run State Park.

Once we got to the park, it was absolutely magical. The rain had driven away other hikers so we had the entire park to ourselves, with an ethereal fog hanging in the air. The air felt so nice and cool in the canyons, and we had breathtaking views of all the scenery wreathed in mist. We explored, took photos, and laughed together while maneuvering around rocks and through the streams of water. As the light started to die, we got out lanterns and of course got some amazing blue hour lantern shots by the waterfalls, before making our way back to the parking lot. We parted ways with damp clothes but warm hearts, as Chloe and Samy’s breathtaking outdoor cabin wedding came to an end.

Chloe and Samy, it was such a joy to document the love you two share not only with each other, but with both your amazing families and children. It was truly an honor to capture these memories and for Jake and I to be apart of your day! Sending all the love,
