This wedding was extra special, as Jake is my best friend’s older brother and I’ve known and loved their sweet family for years! This special intimate backyard wedding wasn’t their original plan, but thanks to COVID, they had to change plans on a dime. They waited five years for this day, and they weren’t going to let anything stop them from joining their love and lives together.
The morning was full of sunshine and nervous excitement. The families and closest friends gathered at their church, and the bridal party stood behind glass windows to watch with full support and safe distancing. Jake and Jess tied the knot, and were finally after so many years, husband and wife. Walking out of the church, they were met with dozens of cars, covered in writing of congrats, balloons, bubbles, and all their sweet family and friends that couldn’t make it inside the church cheering. There was so much laughter, smiles, happy tears, and hope filled the air. We were then able to shoot bridal party photos at Promenade Park, and headed to Jess’s parents house for an intimate reception. The evening ended with dinner, drinks, and dancing with family and close friends under the string lights and warm summer air. It was so special to be able to capture these memories for family and friends that I’ve known and loved for so long!
