The sun was shining and the air was just on the edge of chilly when we drove up the tree lined drive for Louis & Delayne’s Fall Northfork Farm Wedding, in Oswego, on the outskirts of Chicago. With rolling fields of pastures, horses, and a tree lined drive, Northfork Farm was the perfect location for their outdoor wedding. The trees were just beginning to turn color as we started off the day with a sweet first look between Delayne and her dad. We then split up to document the bridesmaid and groomsmen photos at the same time. Following wedding party photos, Jake and I then got Louis set for their first look by a beautiful willow tree next to the pastures. After all the happy tears and laughter, they exchanged personal vows, and then we took couples portraits before tucking away before the ceremony.
The ceremony was set beautifully in front of the main stable, with the tree lined drive as the aisle, and there was nothing sweeter than capturing the look on Louis’ and Delayne’s faces as she walked down the aisle with her dad. They exchanged vows and rings, and planted a tree together with their moms, before their first official kiss as a married couple!
After the ceremony we roamed around the farm with golf carts, taking family photos, wedding party photos, and couple photos in all the pretty spots like the wrought iron gate, and massive trees along the property. As the sun dipped below the horizon we wrapped up with blue hour lantern photos, and headed into the large white tent set up next to the barn for the reception.
From their entrance to cake cutting, Louis and Delayne were so full of love and joy for each other. They had the sweetest speeches, and epic first dances, from Louis twirling Delayne around to Delayne and her dad doing an epic choreographed dance together! Family and friends cheered loudly, and people came and went to hang around the bonfire pit outside or partake in the smores bar, as the dance floor opened up. Delayne and Louis danced the rest of the night away with their loved ones, and I of course had to get a few shutter drag shots of the electric energy on the dancefloor. As the night came to an end, they closed the dance floor with everyone putting arms around each each other, swaying and swinging back and forth while singing their hearts out.
They ended their beautiful Northfork Farm Wedding with a stunning sparkler exit, twirling and spinning and kissing amongst the sparks. And perks of having a second photographer, we got both flash photos, and warm ambiant light photos with the sparkler exit as well for a diverse vibe!
Delayne & Louis, it was such a joy and honor to be a part of your day, and document these special memories! We wish you both so much love and all the fun experiences of snuggling, hiking, and adventuring together!
