Indiana Venues that are Perfect for an Intimate Wedding

Let’s be honest, venue shopping for an intimate wedding is harder than it looks. No one wants to pay thousands for a venue that holds 400 people, for a 30 person affair. And some of the unique and gorgeous small wedding venues get buried amongst the hundreds of large traditional wedding venues, so it can quickly become overwhelming trying to find the perfect location. But don’t worry, I’ve compiled a few of my favorite Indiana intimate wedding venues that are total diamonds in the rough. Hopefully this helps you envision your wedding and find the perfect venue!

Union 12

Alright, I’m probably biased since I got married here myself, but Union 12 is a real gem. Though nestled just a few minutes from Fort Wayne off Highway 30, Union 12 feels like it’s right out in the beautiful countryside. They are available seven days a week so you have more date options as well as fitting within your budget. You can also bring in the vendors or catering you want and they offer a beautiful bridal suite to get ready in. The inside of the venue is a minimalist boho dream, with plenty of natural light too. My husband and I got married here on a Monday, and danced the night away under the market lights and ended the evening sitting around the fire. Be sure to check them out!

Tradespoint Creamery

This 150 acre dairy farm is located in Zionsville, Indiana and is breathtakingly gorgeous as well as versatile. They offer multiple ceremony locations on the property, indoor or outdoor cocktail hour, and several different options for a reception. They have a large rustic barn that can hold 200 guests for a larger approach while retaining that country feel. For a more intimate outdoor feel and up to 40 guests, you can use the beach porch, an open air covered deck overlooking the pond and rolling hills. Or you can use their indoor private roost, which can hold 40 guests and is available year round. There are wildflowers within a garden and in the fall the trees make for a brilliantly gold and rust background. They provide catering; from bar services to a full three course meal with dessert, and let me tell you. The food is to die for!

Creek House on Burton Farm

Nestled within 85 acres of the Burton Farm equestrian center is Creek House. This beautiful home in the country has the most tranquil setting, with rolling pastures, a babbling creek, and a gorgeous wood that you can hear the soft nickers of horses from. This home has 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, which is perfect to get ready or stay in during wedding festivities. There are beautiful settings for photos everywhere you look, and you can get the soft country feel for your intimate wedding.

Eel River Bison Ranch

This 30 acre working bison ranch doubles as an intimate wedding venue with indoor and outdoor ceremony space, and a plethora of unique photo locations. Eel river has a wonderful rustic barn for a reception with plenty of market lights and gas lit lamps for ambiance, as well as a neutral white space for a ceremony in case of bad weather. The golden fall foliage in the fall makes for an incredible ceremony background as well. You can also take photos by the pastures of bison, in a cute little greenhouse, or by the pond with surrounding rolling hills. Definitely check out this unique bison ranch for your intimate wedding!
